Local SEO
Local SEO services for businesses that serve a local market
Rank 4 Local helps businesses show up where local customers search, without paying per click. Our local SEO services bring together Google Maps, your Business Profile, citations, local authority, reviews and your website. The goal isn't traffic. It's visibility for the services you sell, in the markets you actually serve.
How Google decides who shows up locally
Google says local results are based mainly on three things. Each of our local SEO services works on one or more of them.
Relevance
How well your profile and website match what the person searched for.
Where we work on it
Distance
How far you are from the searcher, or from the place named in the search.
Where we work on it
Nobody can move your business closer. We set up your service areas correctly and focus effort where you can realistically compete.
Prominence
How well known your business is. Google names links to your website, your review count and your review score.
Where we work on it
Local authority building, citations and reputation management
Google says there's no way to request or pay for a better local ranking. Be wary of anyone who says otherwise.

Local SEO services
Five services that work as one local presence
We treat Google Maps rankings as part of the whole picture. Your profile, website, competition, service structure, market, authority and reviews are looked at together, not one at a time.
- 01
Google Maps Ranking
For businesses whose profile only shows up when people search the business name. We analyze your market and competitors, then run an ongoing plan to compete for the searches that bring in work.
- 02
Google Business Profile Management
Ongoing care for your profile: business information, categories, services, posts, photos and review strategy, kept accurate and aligned with what you sell.
- 03
Local Citation Management
Finding and fixing wrong, missing or duplicate business listings across the web, so your name, address and phone number agree everywhere.
- 04
Local Authority Building
Relevant content, mentions and links that strengthen your standing in your industry and your market. Relevance matters more than volume.
- 05
Reputation Management
A system that asks every customer for an honest review, monitors what comes in and helps you respond well.
Before you hire anyone
Local SEO red flags to watch for
Some shortcuts break Google's rules or federal law, and they can cost you your profile. If a provider suggests any of these, walk away.
Adding keywords or a city to your business name
Google's guidelines say the name must match your real-world name. Extra keywords can lead to suspension.
Buying reviews, or asking only happy customers
Google prohibits paying for reviews and asking selectively. The FTC's rule on consumer reviews has banned fake and paid-for-sentiment reviews since October 2024.
Buying links or mass directory submissions
Google's spam policies name paid links and low-quality directory links as link spam.
A virtual office address
Google only allows profiles for businesses that meet customers in person. A virtual office usually doesn't qualify.
A guaranteed #1 ranking
Google says you can't pay for a better local ranking. A guarantee is a sales line, not a plan.
Storefront, service area or both
Local SEO starts with a Business Profile that fits how you actually meet customers. Google treats the three setups differently.
Storefront
Customers come to you
Your address is shown, and it has to be a place customers can visit during your hours.
Service-area business
You go to customers
Your address is hidden and you list service areas instead. Google allows up to 20, within roughly two hours' drive of your base.
Hybrid
Both
You can show a storefront address and a service area together.
Local SEO questions
How long does local SEO take?
Local SEO is ongoing work, and timing varies. Competition, your market and location, your website's authority, your profile's history and Google's algorithms all affect how quickly things move.
Can you guarantee the number one spot on Google Maps?
No. Google says there's no way to request or pay for a better local ranking, and distance from the searcher is outside anyone's control. What we can do is improve the parts that can be improved and track what changes.
Do you work with businesses that travel to customers?
Yes. Service-area businesses follow slightly different Business Profile rules from storefronts, and we plan around them.
Do you only do local SEO in Hallandale Beach?
No. Our office is in Hallandale Beach, and we work with local businesses across the United States.
